NavCat Solution: IMTS is the largest manufacturing trade show in North America.

NavCat converted a 300-page hand assembled Exhibitor Kit made up of inconsistent vendor forms and information and transformed it into an electronic format that delivered a consistent IMTS identity and ease of use.

Consistent navigation and form design, auto fill-in, and forms that calculate costs and savings highlight this kit. In addition to saving paper, this edition of the E-Kit also saved plastic. Instead of a one-time use CD, the IMTS E-Kit is distributed on a re-usable flash drive.

KOMET

NavCat Solution: KOMET® Group is dedicated to
providing metal removal solutions.

Group members produced five major catalogs. NavCat combined more than 1,000 pages, plus 5 flyers, 17 videos, one Flash demo, 10 interactive solid models, direct link to a distributor locator, a 90%+ cost reduction over conventional literature and video duplication and distribution costs.

Distributing 700 NavCat CDs at one trade show saved $35,000 in printing costs alone.

NavCat Solution: In addition to bearings, Timken is a world-class producer of high quality specialty steels.

The company produced a stylish brochure and classy video for its steel operations. NavCat combined both media on a single CD.

In addition, NavCat added global direct sales links, and web site links so customers could check order status. An added dimension to traditional media.

NavCat Solution: Drake is the world leader in thread grinding equipment.

Combine 52 video clips with material from web site and printed literature as well as published magazine articles plus machine specification data, links to distributors, and the ability to generate Requests for Quotes by machine type.

Pick target markets and insert in publications to specific SIC, plant size and geographical selections.

NavCat Solution: ATI Stellram is a technology leading global manufacturer of indexable and solid carbide cutting tools.

18 catalogs (15 in A4 format, no cost or production differences for NavCat, since it is PDF-based, as opposed to paper-based), all linked, 4000+ pages total.

DEALERPRO TRAINING SOLUTIONS

NavCat Solution: DealerPro consists of two companies: Sales Solutions and Service Solutions.

NavCat combines all the services of both companies, video and interactive forms onto a two-click CD.

NavCat proved so successful, the design served as the basis for their next generation web site.

NavCat Solution: Bee Valve manufactures and sells plastic ball valves and hose couplers. They needed a cost effective way to produce a web site incorporating their full product line and price list.

First NavCat was produced for their print materials. For the web site, the home page was produced in HTML linking to the NavCat PDF files.

Further navigation was handled on the PDFs. An interactive form completed the e-commerce capability of this very cost effective site.

PARKER HANNIFIN

NavCat Solution: Parker serves specialty high tech markets in addition to the broad hydraulic market.

For these specialty applications, the company produces a complete catalog, but doesn't print it. NavCat provides a fully integrated way to deliver this technical information to the marketplace, with navigation by category and part.

Files were print ready, so the NavCat could be taken to a commercial printer and the whole catalog could be printed or a portion.

A search function was created where a user could type in a part number and go straight to the specifications chart.

AMETEK SOLIDSTATE CONTROLS

NavCat Solution: AMETEK Solidstate Controls has
been the number one manufacturer of high quality, reliable industrial Uninterrupted Power Supply systems for over 40 years.

Their clients have come to expect nothing less than world class products and services.

To enhance that image and facilitate the delivery of nearly 200 pages of the latest technical information, plus video, e-mail and web links, AMETEK Solidstate Controls relies on NavCat.

ROMI

NavCat Solution: Romi is a major global manufacturer of metalcutting machine tools. The installed base of machines exceeds 155,000 units.

New machine introductions called for fulfilling more than 3 times the current number of RFQs per month, more responsively, with no increase in staff.

The answer: an interactive RFQ form, where a prospect could check off the desired options and tooling, save the form to his desk top and email it to Romi.

Dynacast

NavCat Solution: Dynacast is a global aluminum die casting job shop.

All literature, video and presentation materials were combined with full literature downloads of print-ready PDFs for global distributive printing.

E-mail links to all facilities were included to help make bid solicitation easier.

STAUFF BRASIL

NavCat Solution: Stauff is a global producer of hydraulic pipe, tube & hose supports, accessories, test and diagnostic equipment, filtration systems and valves. For Brazil, a 456-page catalog was produced.

NavCat transformed the catalog into a paperless, interactive sales tool incorporating video, e-mail and web links, proprietary product selection programs, and an interchange guide. NavCat is a cost effective solution for a trade show handout, where the full printed catalog would be too costly and too bulky.

STAUFF USA

NavCat Solution: Stauff is a global producer of hydraulic pipe, tube & hose supports, accessories, test and diagnostic equipment, filtration systems and valves.

Stauff USA is a long term NavCat client, and asked about posting the NavCat PDF pages as a way of getting their products on the website.

The best solution was to develop six HTML pages for category navigation to the PDF pages. For a web application, this would provide the quickest response.

In addition, key words were added to each of the PDF documents to optimize search engine indexing of the pages.

NavCat Solution: AMETEK Prestolite Power is a
leading manufacturer of industrial motive power battery chargers and fleet management systems.

The AMETEK Prestolite Power NavCat contains data on all their products and applications, white papers, password-accessible price lists, e-mail links to sales contacts in all 50 states, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico. Plus interactive forms.
